THE REV. DR. E. DAVID HENRY, Pastor
He completed work on the Master of Divinity degree at Luther Seminary, St. Paul, Minnesota, in November, 1975. After ordination he served parishes in Bandera, Texas, and Odessa, Texas, before coming to St. Peter's. He received the Doctor of Ministry degree at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary in 1984. Pastor Henry has been involved with synodical and church wide activities, including Campus Ministry, Worship Planning, and Long Range Planning for the Southwestern Texas Synod. He served ten years as the Southwestern Texas Synod's representative the Board of Directors of the Lutheran Foundation of the Southwest. He has served as Dean of the Hill Country Conference. His major interests are worship, music, teaching, and administration. He enjoys jogging, playing the organ, and anything to do with railroads. His family includes wife BJ, a registered pharmacist, and sons, Paul, wife April and grandsons Jackson and Luke; and Joel wife, Melissa and grandson Blake. Jan Starkey, B.A.
Jan Starkey was founder, director and teacher at St. Peter's Lutheran School from 1982-2011. Ms. Starkey is a 1969 graduate of Marshall University where she received a B. A. in education. She has taught in West Virginia and Maryland public schools before founding St. Peter's Preschool and Kindergarten in 1982. Jan enjoys traveling and gardening, is an avid reader, and loves the theatre and the arts. She is a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International. She has two daughters, Melissa , husband James, and granddaughter, Meredith; and Amanda, husband Chuck, and grandsons Carson and Cameron.
Carla Schnitz Carla Schnitz taught first grade at St. Peter's from 2002-2009. She left St. Peter's to teach in Johnson City ISD. Carla is a 1994 graduate of Texas A&M University with a B.A. in Psychology. She continued her education at Angelo State University where she obtained her teaching certification in Early Childhood Endorsement. Carla has taught Pre-First, Multi-Age K-1, First, and Second grade in the Comal Independent School District. She has completed graduate courses in Personnel Administration in Education and Special Education Program Administration. Carla and her husband, Chad, enjoy spending time with their two boys: Gage and Cooper. She also enjoys playing softball, shopping, and watching her son play T-Ball and soccer.
Ann McDonough Her special interests include water skiing, watching her husband play golf, playing with her children, shopping, and reading. Ann and her husband, Scott, a golf pro, are the proud parents of two children, Tyler and Katherine.
Chantal Mc Vey Chantal taught Kids of the Kingdom from 2006-2009. She has 16 years experience working with children from infants through 12 years old. She studied Family & Consumer Sciences at California State University-Long Beach.She was lucky enough to be married to her husband Troy for 8 years. Tragically he was killed in an auto accident in the Fall of 2006. She has three children, Hunter, Callie-Rae, & Dawson. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Chantal joined St. Peter’s in 2004, shortly after moving from California.
JENNIFER MONSHAUGEN
Jennifer was the Youth & Family Ministry Coordinator from January 2006-October 2007. She and her family relocated to the suburbs of Minneapolis, Minnesota in October 2007. They have since returned to the Lake Travis area. She is a UT Austin graduate with a Bachelor's and Master's of Science degrees in Education. She and her husband Mark have two children, Ashley & Luke. Jennifer was baptized at St. Peter's at the Easter Vigil in 2000, and has lived in the Lake Travis area since 1986.
SAM BRANNON
A third year student at the Lutheran Seminary Program in the Southwest in Austin, he is a graduate of Southwestern Texas State University (now Texas State University-San Marcos). Sam has special interest in teaching, worship, and music. He enjoys reading and movies, and is married to Emily.
PASTOR RACHEL S. LARSON
Pastor Rachel was at St. Peter's from
1997 - 2001. In the fall of 2001, Pastor Larson became a chaplain at
